Incentive schemes and financial instruments available

The regional government has created a set of business incentive schemes that offer generous funding for investors, making Puglia one of the best places to start, finance and expand a business in Europe.

The new raft of regional incentives, under the programming period 2021-2027, managed by the regional finance agency Puglia Sviluppo S.p.A., are designed to meet the needs of new business start-ups, as well as established SMEs or MNEs, and depending on the nature and size of proposed investments, typically offer a combination of financial aid and reduced interest rate loans, helping to ease the cost of new business investments, making funding available for:

  • R&D
  • Plant investments (fixed capital, tangible assets)
  • Staff training
  • Environmental protection measures
  • Innovation and business process reengineering
  • Business consultancy services and international business promotion
